gilt

If it’s in gilt, it counts.

Brand guidelines as a website, not a PDF.
There is only one version, and it’s the current one.

Why gilt exists

For a long time, every branding project we finished ended with a PDF. It was carefully designed and still out of date before long: a colour was adjusted, a logo was added, a rule changed. The old version kept circulating, and nobody knew for sure which one was valid.

So we built gilt. We are OHO Design, a branding studio from Switzerland, and we use it to maintain our partners’ guidelines ourselves. Now we’re opening it up to other brands and agencies.

01

Maintain

You enter logo, colours, typefaces, images and downloadable files in an editor. No code, no layout software.

02

Publish

That becomes a website of its own. Whatever you save is online, and the guide shows when it was last changed.

03

Share

You send a link, password-protected by default. People who only read the guide don’t need an account.

Questions we hear often

For brands where more than a handful of people work with the logo and colours: your own team, printers, photographers, outside agencies. And for agencies that want to look after their clients’ guidelines in one place.

You change it in the editor and save. From then on, everyone sees the new version under the same link. Nothing needs to be sent out again, and no old versions are left circulating.

Yes. A guide can appear in several languages, with more than twenty to choose from. You translate the texts yourself, and gilt provides the fixed labels such as “Colours” or “Clear space”.

Because a guide delivers the brand’s font files along with it, and most font licences don’t allow that on an open website. You can still share without a password. You then confirm that the fonts are licensed for it.

If you’re an agency, yes. We set gilt up with you under an address like brandguidelines.your-agency.com. Your clients then see your name, not ours.

Yes, from the asset library in the guide. One by one, as a group or everything in a single package.

That depends on how many guides you need. Tell us what you have in mind and we’ll talk it through.
